TOPIC: The Ins and Outs of Protecting Fashion Design
We have invited several speakers to discuss the real world application of intellectual property protection in the fast-paced fashion industry and whether the law can keep up in a market filled with knock-off products. Particularly, we will talk at whether efforts to file design patent and utility patents only benefit clients with padded budgets and what an emerging designer may consider to protect new work. We will evaluate the best way to protect these designs and how practitioners can overlap various branches of intellectual property to serve their clients.
