Saper Law Secures Trademark Temporary Restraining Order for Client Del Rey Mole
Saper Law successfully secured a temporary restraining order for client Del Rey Mole (pictured right) in a trademark dispute against an infringing and inferior mole paste brand (left). Del Rey Mole creates delicious mole paste and chocolate sold online and at over 50 Chicagoland retail locations. Shop their products and learn more here.
To prevent marketplace confusion among consumers, and to protect the Del Rey Mole brand, the company filed a lawsuit for federal trademark infringement and related claims in the Northern District of Illinois. The company also filed a motion for a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) seeking a ruling that would immediately stop the infringing, inferior brand from promoting mole labeled as “Del Rey.”
On April 5, 2018, Judge Castillo granted Del Rey’s motion for a TRO. Here is a copy of the TRO Order.
