Saper Law Attorneys lecture at the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo C2E2 2014
On Saturday, April 26, (from 12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m. in room S404ab at McCormick Place) attorneys from Saper Law will participate in a panel discussion and unscripted Q&A session with the C2E2 audience.  Topics will include intellectual property, right of publicity, business organizations, and other legal and business issues that relate to the entertainment and comic book industries. Like last year, Saper Law attorneys will be dressed in full costume. Â
Saper Law Attorneys Present at the Chicago Creative Expo
On Friday, March 14, Daliah  Saper and Shyla Jones presented "Law 101 for the New Business Owner" at the Chicago Creative Expo hosted by the Chicago Cultural Center. The presentation covered a host of startup and business-related topics, including business entity formation, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, contracts, licensing, and other intellectual property issues. Daliah and Shyla also fielded a number of questions from the entrepreneurial audience. It was a great discussion and a fantastic event.              Â

Saper Law Panel Recap: “Print Design & Fabric Sourcing for your Apparel Business”
Saper Law hosted a panel of fashion industry experts to discuss various issues affecting the apparel entrepreneur in sourcing fabric and trim. Topics included best practices when sourcing, as well as copyrights, trademarks, and other legalities that arise when conducting business in the apparel industry. The event began with a discussion led by Xochil Scheer, of the Apparel Agency, about the differences between importing materials and sourcing domestically. Saper Law at Fashion Business Workshop
Our very own Shyla Jones spoke at a recent event as a guest lecturer. The Fashion Business Workshop, hosted by Columbia College Chicago on September 21st, focused on the challenges and opportunities associated with starting, owning, and operating a fashion boutique. In her seminar, Fashion Intellectual Property Law and eCommerce Considerations for Online Boutiques, Shyla spent much time discussing trademark, copyright, and general intellectual property concerns. Saper Law Hosts Panel to Discuss the Business of Filmmaking
On September 18, 2013 Saper Law Offices hosted an expert panel about the Business of Filmmaking, co-hosted by Johnsonese Brokerage, an insurance company for innovative organizations. Daliah and other stakeholders in the Chicagoland film industry discussed current business issues related to the filmmaking industry.
