Saper Law Associate, Aaron Midler, has been volunteering with the entrepreneurial organization JCC PresenTense Chicago for the past six months and has been featured by the organization in its latest publication (see below). Aaron is the coach for fellow Scott Beslow, whose project aims to encourage water conservation through the use of a mobile application.
JCC PresenTense will be having an official launch night on Wednesday, June 12 to showcase the great ideas and work of these entrepreneurs.
Attorney, Saper Law Offices
Aaron Midler is an associate attorney at Saper Law Offices, LLC, a boutique intellectual property and business law firm in downtown Chicago. Aaron received a J.D. magna cum laude from Chicago-Kent Chicago of Law, where he served as member for both the Chicago-Kent Law Review and the Journal of Environmental and Energy Law. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Chicago in 2006 with a major in Psychology.
When asked what drew him to volunteer his time to this program, Aaron responded, “I work with startups on a regular basis, and I tend to see these businesses through the lens of law and regulation. I wanted to see them differently, and JCC PresenTense Chicago provided me this opportunity. As Scott’s coach, I perch on his shoulder, and I see the problems of a start-up from the entrepreneur’s perspective. It’s been gratifying to support someone’s new idea, and what JCC PresenTense Chicago provides to the budding innovator is invaluable.”
What is JCC PresenTense Chicago?
Who we are:Our goal is to ignite social entrepreneurs, young Jewish professionals, with innovative ideas who want to make the world a better place. By tapping the talents of young Jewish volunteers, we can help accelerate social innovators to develop their ideas into sustainable and socially responsible ventures.
WHAT WE DO: JCC PresenTense Chicago is organized around an Executive Team, young business professionals who volunteer their passion and time to manage the program in all of its details, from recruiting and admitting fellows, to engaging volunteer coaches and mentors, to spreading the word through networking and creating marketing materials, to shepherding the fellows through their training process.
The program ignites social entrepreneurs by providing admitted fellows a six-month entrepreneurial bootcamp experience, which includes training seminars, commitment to regular milestones, and the support of volunteer coaches and mentors.
