Chad Nold will be speaking at ForenSecure ’15, the Illinois Institute of Technology’s Cyber Forensics and Security Conference.  The annual Conference, which will take place on April 16th and 17th, is designed to provide industry-focused technical discussions and debates over a number of cutting edge topics such as cyber security, privacy, and cloud computing.  Chad, an attorney at Saper Law, will touch on all three topics in his presentation, “Hacking for Revenge Porn,” on April 17th from 10:50am-11:30am.

Chad’s presentation will cover the legal difficulties related to the rampant crime of “revenge porn,” where hackers (and ex’s) release private photos and videos of celebrities and ordinary people alike out to the public.  The presentation will not only discuss the arduous legal process to discover and prosecute offenders, but also the limited remedies available to the victims of this cyber crime.  In analyzing these issues in light of recent cases, Chad will also take a look at websites that host this salacious material, and examine why some of them refuse to remove the content even when contacted by the victim.

For more information on registration for the Conference and to view a schedule of events, see the event’s website.
