Meet Midwest FurFest

Midwest FurFest is an annual convention held in the suburbs of Chicago to celebrate the furry fandom. Furries are animal characters with anthropomorphic attributes like human intelligence and the ability to walk and speak. The 2022 Midwest FurFest, held this year from December 1st to 4th, is expected to attract over 10,000 attendees!!

The convention brings together furries for an action packed weekend of panels, comedy shows, dealers, artists, live music, dance contests, and group activities like scavenger hunts.

The convention also features a charity component, raising over $100,000 annually for Chicago area organizations. The convention’s 2022 charity has just been announced: The Street Dog Coalition (SDC), an organization that provides free vet services to pets of people experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness.
