Client Spotlight: Higher Yields Consulting
Saper Law Client Spotlight
Saper Law’s Client Spotlight is a series highlighting our various practice areas through client features. This month, we are shining a spotlight on our cannabis law practice by featuring Saper Law client, Higher Yields Consulting.
Meet Higher Yields Consulting
Higher Yields Consulting (“HYC”) is an international cannabis consulting firm based in Colorado that has worked on cannabis projects in 40 states and 30 countries across the globe.
The HYC team members support clients through the cannabis permit application process, real estate acquisition, facility design & buildout, and branding. HYC’s experience in competitive and non-competitive application markets gives their clients the edge they need to compete and win cannabis permits.
HYC has supported city and state social equity programs in IL, CO, and CA with consultative guidance and educational forums. In collaboration with Trep School, HYC was awarded a state grant to support over 50 Social equity applicants from the previous rounds with assessments, roadmap development, and discounted professional business services.
HYC is now supporting the next round of early-stage Illinois cannabis applicants and working with current license holders on their product development, branding, and marketing strategy.
Check out pictures below from when HYC teamed up with Saper Law to present about the Illinois’ Adult Use market and intellectual property considerations for cannabis branding. In Illinois, HYC has submitted 22 applications and supported local governments to develop ordinances, variances, and identify green zones for economic development.
As cannabis is not legal on the federal level, there are many intricacies to protecting cannabis brands across state lines. Saper Law counsels businesses in the cannabis industry on how best to protect their trademarks.
