Daliah Saper Speaks at The Art Hustle in Chicago Event Hosted by Ugly Talk
On May 29, 2025, Daliah Saper was invited to speak at The Art Hustle in Chicago, a candid panel discussion hosted by Ugly Talk that explored the often-overlooked challenges creatives face in pursuing artistic careers. The event, moderated by DeAnna Spoerl of Letty Sparrow, featured artist Grace Federighi, PR strategist Bob Spoerl, and fashion writer Margaret Gillette, in addition to Daliah Saper.
The conversation tackled the real-world struggles of working artists and entrepreneurs—from burnout and rejection to underpayment and exploitation—and offered practical strategies for navigating these obstacles with resilience and clarity.

Drawing from her extensive experience representing artists, designers, musicians, and other creatives, Daliah shared key legal insights into intellectual property protection, contract negotiation, and brand enforcement. She emphasized the importance of securing trademarks, registering copyrights, and clearly documenting business arrangements to help creatives protect and monetize their work.

Daliah also highlighted the need for creatives to treat their art as both expression and enterprise. By developing efficient systems, safeguarding their rights, and proactively addressing legal risks, artists can build sustainable careers and maintain control over their creative output.
Saper Law is proud to support the creative community and remains committed to helping artists, entrepreneurs, and innovators protect what they create.

Co-hosted by Bear Icebox Communications and Trendsapio, and supported by The Yard and GREY Journal.
